A Harvest That Can Never Mix. How SIMEZA Engineered Storage for Villa de Riu Rice

El Pantar doesn’t store rice the way a wheat plant stores wheat and that’s exactly the point.

Villa de Riu is a denomination-of-origin variety: small lots, slow rotation, and a harvest that can never mix with the next one. That’s a different storage problem than mass-market rice, so we engineered a different silo for it.

Our new video takes you inside the El Pantar installation: hopper bottom silos that discharge completely by gravity, leaving nothing behind to contaminate the following batch, and a sealed fumigation system engineered specifically for rice’s bran layer, not adapted from a generic wheat spec.

It’s the same principle behind every Mediterranean rice plant we build: size the installation to the rotation and the variety, not just the tonnage. A silo plant lasts a lifetime, and for a designation the market pays a premium for, it has to get this right from day one.
