In 2000, SIMEZA patented a corrugated sheet design that changed how much load a steel silo panel could carry. This June marked twenty-five years since that patent, and the same geometry is still in every silo we manufacture.
Conventional corrugated panels had real structural limits: they constrained silo height, load capacity, and long-term durability. The patented geometry redistributed load across the sheet, allowing greater structural efficiency without adding material weight, a decisive advantage once installations start climbing past a few thousand tonnes.
A quarter century of field validation across five continents, from Scandinavian snow loads to Gulf heat and Australian fumigation standards, has tested that logic under every condition it wasn’t originally designed for.
