From Zaragoza, SIMEZA had built a strong international presence: five continents, projects from Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia to Australia. But Scandinavia and Eastern Europe had structural realities that benefit from proximity: snow load requirements, temperature ranges demanding different material specifications, and regulatory environments differing significantly from Southern European norms.
The integration brought local engineering expertise into markets where “local” genuinely matters for structural calculation and long-term performance. Snow loads in Norway and Sweden are the starting point. Grain storage in Eastern Europe sits at the intersection of agriculture and geopolitics, adding urgency to every brief.
Three years in, the integration has opened engineering conversations we would not have reached from Zaragoza alone.
