With the acquisition of the Spanish company SIMEZA (Silos Metálicos Zaragoza S.L.) located in Zaragoza, Spain, PETKUS Engineering GmbH (Wutha-Farnroda, Germany) expanded its portfolio of products for the grain logistics business. Luca Celeghini, CEO of PETKUS Engineering GmbH, has taken over the leadership of Spanish company.
SIMEZA is a highly qualified partner with more than 40 years of experience in the storage of grains, flour and industrial products. They were the pioneers in Europe in the design, production and assembly of silos. Nowadays the company counts with a team of highly specialized professionals, cutting-edge technology and advanced production facilities.
While SIMEZA will continue to independently provide its products to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, it will have in its portfolio of products a special design of silos with the goal of improving the engineering projects and turnkey offers of PETKUS Engineering GmbH.
For its grain division, PETKUS Engineering GmbH focuses on practical and tailor-made solutions of complete plants, and through its turnkey solutions team, it also offers the production of civil works. In general, the acquisition of SIMEZA improves the portfolio of PETKUS Engineering GmbH and is expected to strengthen its position in the market.
